#SoloPR Topic Chat: Journey to the Future

Jun 7, 2016 | Chats

Mary Meeker's 2016 Internet trends report is out and, as it has every year, it has inspired a great deal of discussion. The 213-slide presentation is definitely worth a read, as it has broad reaching insights that impact sectors beyond technology. Forecasting is integral to developing strategies for our clients, and this report has some insights on where technology is headed, how audiences are changing as well as key economic indicators. The report is the inspiration for our next Solo PR Twitter chat, on June 8, 2016 at 1pm ET. We will examine some of the big topics in Meeker's reports as we gaze into the future together and dissect how this information will impact our practices.

During the June 8, 2016 Solo PR Twitter chat, we’ll discuss the following topics:

  1. What trends are you clients interesting in following?
  2. Are you evolving strategies for clients to fit changing generational values?
  3. Should US practitioners be learning more about global markets?
  4. What changes can we make to leverage voice recognition search?
  5. Are you doing more, less or the same paid strategies?
  6. What skills should we be adding to future proof our business?
  7. What tactics need to evolve for the future?
  8. What would you like to see more of in the future?
  9. As growth slows, efficiency becomes more important, in what ways can we drive efficiency?
  10. What are you doing today that you never thought you’d be doing?

Never participated in a Twitter chat? Here’s how.

Do you have any additional questions on planning and managing your solo career path that are not included in the above list? Let us know in the comments, or @ or DM SoloPR on Twitter and we’ll be happy to address them during our chat.
