The growth question is one that all successful entrepreneurs face at some point in their business. There is plenty of advice for determining if, when and how you grow your business. However, one facet of growth that is not widely discussed is professional growth. As a consultant, it’s important to pursue opportunities for increasing your knowledge base and building upon your skills to help keep them fresh and your mind sharp. At the same time, we should also be aware of what’s right for us when it comes to the concept of growth as a professional and what that means to us in relation to our benchmark for personal success and fulfillment.

Recently one of our fellow Solo PR Premium members, Arik Hanson, published a thought-provoking post reflecting on the notion of career growth and the social pressures we face to aggressively climb the career ladder as we continuously seek to reach the “next level.” As a solo professional, what is your next level?
