Recently, I was asked by PRSA to be interviewed as part of the organization’s Business Case for Public Relations series.
Many of the questions are heady, and gave me pause. But perhaps the most difficult question to answer was, “what do you want your legacy to be?”
That’s a big question, and I don’t think I’d ever considered it in quite that way. After much consideration, I stated my desired legacy as:
To raise the visibility and esteem for those working as independent PR consultants, and to help those pursuing this path surpass their goals
How would you answer that question? At the end of your career, how would you like your work to be remembered? If you’ve never thought about it, does pondering your career from that angle give you new insights and perspective?
