The line-up for the Solo PR Summit, being held February 20-21, 2013, at the Regency Suites Hotel in Atlanta, Ga., just keeps getting better! Today, famed Bad Pitch Blog co-author Kevin Dugan joins Mark W. Schaefer, Sarah Evans, Arik Hanson, Kami Huyse, and Heather Whaling as one of our featured speakers. Kevin is known for ferreting out the tricks of unscrupulous “PR” types , and he'll be sharing his thoughts on our need to move toward more adaptive public relations (it's Halloween, but don't be afraid – only bad guys should find Kevin scary!).
Other treats just-added to the roster include industry-leading indie PR consultants Greg Brooks, Kelly Davis, Natalie Ghidotti, Amanda Miller Littlejohn, Candace McCaffery, and Mary Ellen Miller. All of our speakers believe in Solo PR Pros and are helping us keep registration fees low –early-bird registration is just $179 ($149 for PRO members).
Unique Programming
The full agenda will be unveiled next week, and we’re planning the conference I’ve always wanted to attend! It’s nice to go to an event and hear how companies and agencies with unlimited budgets do things, but we deserve a conference that's specifically designed to showcase strategies and best practices for us.
With topics ranging from indie-focused priorities, such as increasing productivity, raising fees, and proposal success secrets, to industry thought leadership sessions on targeting influencers, measurement, online + offline integration, and what’s next in PR – all of the content will focus exclusively on the needs and capabilities of independent pros in PR and related fields.
Extending Early-Bird Deadline
The tens of millions of people impacted by Hurricane Sandy have their hands full, and that will be the case for some time – our thoughts are with them. To make sure everyone who would like to register early has the opportunity to do so, we've extended the early-bird deadline to December 5.
Check out the impressive bios of all of our speakers announced to date, and beat the early-bird last-minute rush by registering today. Are there any topics you definitely want to see covered? Let us know in the comments!
