Privacy Policy

Solo PR Pro is a membership community that provides resources and information to members. We also operate a free blog and newsletter.

Pro Premium Members

This section applies to the Personal Information we collect and process from a Pro Premium Member or potential Member through the provision of the Services. If you are not a Member, the Visitors or Contacts section of this policy may be more applicable to you and your data. In this section, “you” and “your” refer to Members and potential Members.

  1. Information We Collect

The Personal Information that we may collect broadly falls into the following categories:

(i) Information you provide to us: In the course of engaging with our Services, you may provide Personal Information about you. Personal Information is often, but not exclusively, provided to us when you sign up for and use the Services, consult with our member service team, send us an email, or communicate with us in any other way.

We will let you know prior to collection whether the provision of Personal Information we are collecting is compulsory or if it may be provided on a voluntary basis and the consequences, if any, of not providing the information. By giving us this information, you agree to this information being collected, used and disclosed as described in our Terms of Use and in this privacy policy.

This information may include:

Registration information: You need to create a Pro Premium account to use the Services as a Member. When you register for an account, you will be asked to provide certain basic information, such as your name, email address, username, password, company name, title, location, and phone number.

Billing and communications information: If you purchase a monthly or annual membership plan, you will provide your payment and billing information, such as your credit card details and billing address to our payment merchant. Solo PR does not see, collect or edit your billing and payment information but we do maintain a record of your billing transactions and purchases, and any communications and responses.

Information we process on your behalf: In order to use certain services, such as add your profile to the Member listings, you provide us with information about you and your business, such as your company name, areas of expertise, address and phone number. We use and process this information to populate our Find a PR Consultant database, that allows individuals and companies to search for and contact you regarding work. This service is optional and you are not required to create or maintain a listing. You may delete your listing at any time. If your membership becomes inactive, Solo PR will remove your listing within 10 days.

(ii) Information we collect automatically: When you use the Services, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage of the Services. We use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect some of this information. Our use of cookies and other tracking technologies is discussed more below, and in more detail below:

We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Websites and Services to operate, and we refer to these as “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our website and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas. Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the website, you cannot refuse them without impacting how our website functions. You can block or delete them by changing your browser settings.

Performance and functionality cookies, such as W3 Total Cache are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our websites but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality may become unavailable.

Analytics and customization cookies, such as Vimeo and Google collect information that is used either in aggregate form to help us understand how our website are being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our website and application for you in order to enhance your experience.

Other tracking technologies

We and our third-party partners may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons, pixels (or “clear gifs”) and other tracking technologies. These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Website or, in the case of web beacons, opened an e-mail that we have sent them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our Website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of marketing campaigns. While you may not have the ability to specifically reject or disable these tracking technologies, in many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly; accordingly, in those instances, declining cookies will impair the functioning of these technologies.
